Find Panola County Court Calendar

Start with whatever notice, citation, or docket details you already have, then call the court that holds the case. A Panola County court calendar helps you spot a term or a recurring municipal setting, but it can't confirm a specific date on its own. Confirm first. Panola County spreads its cases across criminal, civil, Chancery, Justice Court, and municipal channels, and each runs its calendar a bit differently. When a date, time, or required appearance is at stake, trust the current docket entry plus a word with the clerk over any old calendar listing.

The Panola County Court Calendar

There is no countywide daily docket or searchable public hearing-calendar portal for Panola County. The official calendar sources are narrower than people expect. They are the Secretary of State's annual Circuit and Chancery term publications. There is also authenticated MEC docket access for Circuit cases, and court-specific clerk channels. A published term is really just a planning window. It never means every case in that court is set every day of that term.

Need a current individual setting? Go to the court named on the citation, summons, notice, order, or docket entry. Circuit cases start with MEC, if you can authenticate, and then the Circuit Clerk. Chancery matters belong to the Chancery Clerk. Justice Court and municipal dates live with their own lower-court clerks. A general term calendar is not confirmation for an appearance.

Panola 2026 Circuit Terms

The official 2026 Circuit Court terms publication lists Panola's current term periods. Remember what a term is. It is a court session window, not a set of individual hearing dates. First Judicial District terms run the second Monday in February for 11 days, the fifth Tuesday in April for 11 days, the second Monday in July for 12 days, the fourth Monday in October for 6 days, and the second Monday in November for 5 days.

Second Judicial District terms run the first Monday in January for 11 days, the first Monday in March for 6 days, the third Monday in March for 6 days, the first Monday in June for 12 days, the second Monday in August for 12 days, and the first Monday in October for 12 days. Match the district named on the case first. Then confirm the current setting with the Circuit Clerk.

Note: A Circuit term describes the court's scheduled session window, not a promise that a particular case will be heard then.

How to Find Your Court Date

Start with the citation, summons, notice, signed order, or prior docket entry. Write down the court, district or city, and case number. Note the party name and date. Include the time and judge if shown. Now classify the venue. A Batesville city matter does not belong at the Circuit Clerk's counter. No municipal provider can confirm a Circuit felony setting. The court on the paper decides which confirmation channel you use.

  1. Read the case papers and identify the court, district or city, case number, and the latest date shown.
  2. For a Circuit case, check the official term calendar and, if available, the authenticated MEC docket for the newest setting.
  3. Call or visit the responsible clerk's counter and ask for the current setting, time, courtroom, appearance requirement, and any reset.
  4. For a Chancery case, contact the Chancery Clerk; for Justice Court or a city case, call that court's clerk with the citation or case details.
  5. Use a signed notice or clerk confirmation for an important appearance, not a term PDF or cached docket entry alone.

Panola County posts no public daily printed docket. There is no text reminder program, no email reminder program, and no remote-hearing calendar. Assume none exists until a clerk tells you otherwise.

Panola Court Date Channels

Every calendar channel here has a narrow job. The Circuit terms PDF gives a district term window. The Chancery terms PDF adds a district term plus the assigned judge. MEC can show a Circuit docket and setting once you authenticate. The clerk counter and phone remain the practical confirmation path. The online record may be thin. It may be older, or simply not open to anonymous viewing.

For Circuit dates, identify the district first. Then call the Circuit Clerk at 662-487-2073 in Sardis or 662-563-6210 in Batesville. Chancery dates route through the Chancery Clerk at 662-487-2070 in Sardis or 662-563-6205 in Batesville. The Justice Court Clerk publishes 662-487-2080 and 662-563-6240. Confirm its location before a visit. Batesville Municipal Court is 662-563-6645. Official directory routing lists Como at 662-526-9647, Courtland at 662-563-4576, and Crenshaw at 662-382-5234. It also lists Sardis at 662-487-2371 and Pope at 662-563-4799.

Reading a Court Setting

A setting is a calendar entry for a court event. Read it alongside the case header, the court, and the newest docket activity. The date tells you when the event is scheduled. The time may mark the start of a setting or of docket call. The judge or court identifies the decision-maker. The setting type explains the procedural purpose when the entry states one. Panola's local listings do not follow a set format. A courtroom, a hearing type, or a remote link may all be missing.

DateThe scheduled day. Check later entries and notices for a reset or replacement date.
TimeThe stated time for the event or docket call. Confirm it with the clerk if the papers conflict.
Court or districtIdentifies the Panola Circuit, Chancery, Justice Court, or city channel holding the setting.
JudgeMay appear in a term publication or docket header; it does not alone state the exact hearing assignment.
Setting typeUse the docket wording. Do not assign a hearing type when the case record does not name one.

Panola 2026 Chancery Terms

The official 2026 Chancery terms publication lists Panola First District one-week terms on January 12 with Judge Lundy, March 16 with Judge Daniels, June 8 with Judge Lynchard, July 27 with Judge Daniels, August 10 with Judge Daniels, and September 14 with Judge Lundy. Those dates give you a term and a judge. They are not individual case settings.

Panola Second District holds one-week Chancery terms on May 4 with Judge Lynchard and October 19 with Judge Lundy. A divorce, custody, adoption, estate, guardianship, land, or commitment case still needs the Chancery Clerk's confirmation, even when it falls inside a published term.

Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations

An old setting can linger in a docket long after the case has moved on. So check for a newer entry. Look for a fresh notice or order, or a setting with a later date. Panola County publishes no county reset code list, no local pass policy, no daily cancellation list, and no general weather-closure calendar. Dates do not reset themselves. A setting is not continued just because the day is inconvenient. A changed term does not continue it. A stale listing does not either.

Never treat a continuance, a cancellation, a holiday, or a storm as permission to skip court. Call the court coordinator or the clerk instead. Ask if the setting still stands. Ask whether a replacement date exists, and whether the court has issued written notice. A live confirmation from the court beats any cached screen or old calendar entry. It wins every time.

Panola Reset Check

For a Circuit case, an authenticated MEC docket may carry the later setting or the current procedural status. Read the newest entry, not the first date. CourtInfo's flag glossary includes labels like Arraignment Pending, Plea Pending, Trial Pending, Nolle Pros Pending, and Final Judgment Issued. Those labels help you spot the case stage. They still cannot replace the actual notice or order.

Arraignment Pending
An arraignment remains pending, according to the published MEC flag list.
Trial Pending
A trial remains pending; the case docket and clerk provide the current setting.
Bench Warrant Issued
A procedural marker that requires direct court or legal counsel follow-up, not assumption about case facts.

Note: A later docket date or a written court notice is the safer signal that a prior setting has moved. Rely on that, not on the age of an older listing.

What To Do If You Miss a Setting

Call the clerk for the court holding the case right away. Give the case number and the party name. Include the court or city, and the date you missed. Ask whether the court recorded a new setting, an order, or another required step. If an attorney represents you, contact that attorney promptly too. Panola County publishes no automatic reset procedure. A missed date never counts as rescheduled on its own. Treat every old date as unconfirmed. That stands until the clerk says otherwise.

Do not assume a reset. A missed Panola setting may require immediate clerk or legal-counsel follow-up. The official sources do not state that a missed appearance is excused, automatically continued, or fixed by waiting for another term.

For any hearing that matters, get confirmation from the clerk or a signed notice or order. The stakes of a missed setting vary by case and court. The current docket and the court's own instruction control.

Panola Batesville Court Setting

Batesville Municipal Court posts a recurring Thursday setting that starts at 9 a.m. The city page sends date and procedure questions to the municipal clerks. Reach them by phone. It publishes no daily case list, courtroom number, reset list, or hearing-type search tool. Remember, Thursday at 9 a.m. is a standing schedule. It is not proof that your municipal case is set for that hour.

The same page points fine payments to City Hall during its posted weekday hours. Paying a fine is not a docket lookup. It does not confirm a court date. A citation or notice can confuse anyone. Call the Municipal Court through the city's contact information.

Panola Daily Calendar Limit

Panola County offers no public daily docket PDF, no Zoom calendar, and no countywide searchable calendar. The Circuit and Chancery publications from the state are term-level documents. MEC sits behind a login for Circuit cases. Justice Court posts no web calendar. The Como Municipal Court page describes court functions and a payment link rather than a calendar or search form.

That gap shapes the reliable method. Take a date from court paperwork as your lead. Identify the correct court, then confirm with the clerk. A missing public daily list says nothing about any individual setting.

Panola Justice Court Dates

Justice Court dates live with the Justice Court Clerk. The county page offers no online calendar, no citation search, no refresh schedule, and no published citation-number format. Have the ticket in hand for the call. Give the citation number, defendant name, issuing agency, and appearance date. Ask which docket holds the matter. Ask whether the clerk can confirm a current date or provide a copy by phone.

One wrinkle deserves care. The county page lists a Sardis location. It differs from the state courthouse-address listing, so verify the current location before visiting the counter. That extra check matters most for a Justice Court hearing date, since lower-court calendars never appear through the Circuit MEC page.

Panola Court Weather Confirmation

Weather, holiday, and emergency closures call for a live confirmation from the court or clerk. The Seventeenth Circuit CourtInfo material lists regular office hours. Panola County publishes no closure feed, text alert, or remote-appearance policy. A term-level document cannot tell you that. It cannot say whether a court office is open on a given day.

For a Circuit matter, first confirm Panola First or Panola Second. Then call the Circuit Clerk. For Chancery, Justice Court, and municipal matters, contact the clerk who keeps that court's calendar. Do not assume remote or Zoom arrangements unless the current notice prints them or the court confirms them.
